Is that vaalin, as in the metal that lockpicks are frequently fashioned of in Elanthia?

No. But I've heard of that. Vaalin is a long-running character name that I've been using since I started playing around on the internet (about 10 years ago). It also is a word in some European language but I have no idea what it means.
