Well, this is the final product of a lot of time, hard work, and help from those who commented on my in-progress versions.

This is really a very simple concept, but it took me a while to get it the way I wanted it (again, due to my horrible line art and photoshop habits). However, I really enjoyed this, and think it turned out better than I expected.

Rescanning the picture and coloring on a larger scale allowed me to get much more crisp, smooth detail than I've ever had before.

Anyway, this is a picture of my character Vaalin with my girlfriend's character Bizarre.
She's kind of giving off that "Back off." look, and I thought it was really cute. Vaalin is an older character, so I tried to make him seem.. well.. older. I also wanted to make him very dark and obscured, because he always kind of had that sort of aura about him. Just seemed right.

Biz is not a vampire, contrary to what some people have thought when looking at this. She just happens to have a canine tooth in view there.

The letter at the top right is a V if you can't tell, and it'll be my new "mark" that I'll be putting on all my work. I was tired of not having a cool symbol.

I know there are probably several technical mistakes you could point out.. but..

Criticism on this will not be appreciated, since I uploaded it about a thousand times in scraps asking for opinions on the various versions from day one of this project. Watch my scrapbook and comment on works in progress before they become finished deviations. This is the time when criticism will actually help and give me the ability to alter something without too much trouble.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this piece. I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with my artwork, and improving with each piece. It's a very rewarding thing to me, and I know I couldnt have done it without my very supportive and patient girlfriend, and my other friends who helped me out with their opinions and critique during the process.
